Albert Ellis received the first ever Outstanding Contribution Award for his contributions to The Counseling Zone's live chats and sponsored workshops. Presenting the award was (left to right) staff member Sonia Warner and director Jeffrey. Ellis is seated on the right. Seated on the left are (left to right) Mary Bradford Ivey and Allen Ivey. When it was announced at the dinner that Dr. Ellis won the award, he thanked The Counseling Zone. As Dr. Guterman and Sonia Warner handed the award to the famous recipient, Dr. Ellis excalimed four little words that surprised everyone: "Mail it to me!" San Diego, 1999
